hi susie.... i just found out i am pregnant and i am 7 months out. I can

understand being scared, I know from reading some of the back posts (as i

just joined this board like 5 days ago) some people have gotten pregnant very

early out , like 2-3 months and were able to carry a pregnancy to term. I

know for me to reassure me, I have seen my doctor a couple of times(had an

ultrasound today actually and was quite bummed because fetal heartbeat

couldnt be detected but then i am only 4 wks gestation, so dont have an

ultrsound too early unless there is a risk of ectopic pregnancy and wait

awhile but not too long before you have it)

call your surgeons office and see what they say as well as your

pcp... make sure you are getting rest, taking your vitamins etc. if you have

any bleeding or cramping etc, call your pcp office right away...

congratulations...

NOOOOOOOOOOOO please don't kill it!!! Every baby is a

blessing. There is a reason for him/her to be here.

You will be just fine. I think we even have one on

this list that was pregnant (but didn't know it) when

she had her RNY. As far as I know her pregnancy is

going along great. Please please please don't kill

that sweet baby!

We are all here to help you through this pregnancy and

if you feel you just can't raise a baby, at least give

it a chance at life. I thank God abortion was illegal

when I was conceived otherwise I'd have ended up in

the bottom of a trashcan before I was born.

You don't need an abortion but you have to change your mindset from losing

weight to doing what is best for the baby -- eating more, getting enough

fluids (increase both food and drink), taking your vitamins RELIGOUSLY, and

doing other things. But it can work out. There are women on this list that

have been there. You have to take great care of yourself but it will work

Susie. You are at the right place.

Actually Lynette, I heard that she who was pregnant at RNY had her baby last

week ... a perfectly healthy child.

But I agree that this woman doesn't need an abortion.

Susie,

My name is I am 13 weeks pregnant and about 5 and 1/2 months out. I

suggest you find an OB that specializes in high risk pregnancy. You will feel

better after seeing the OB and talking to your WLS surgeon. Good luck and

Congratulations!

Thanks for the update ! I was wondering who

that was and with all our recent deliveries if I had

missed the one who was pregnant during the RNY.

Thanks again for the update! So glad the baby is

healthy!

I'm sooooooooo happy that you and baby are ok! I bet

that was uncomfortable as the incision was healing

your belly was growing from the pregnancy. Yikes!

Congrats on that baby boy!!!
