Absolutely YES! and don't beat yourself up about it.  Your are real new to the process and have probably a life time of diet mentality to overcome.  It is so hard to stop once I start too and then I end up feeling bad about myself.  Then that's sets me up for the vicious cycle again. Stay with it and focus on the positive, maybe by making a list of all your accomplishments.  It seems to be human nature to notice all our faults and not our successes.  Keep posting.  We are glad you are here.  Sandy

 

I had been doing so well with intuitive eating for the past 2 or 3 weeks. I felt so much freedom and have never felt better physically and emotionally. Then today, I had an all out binge-it was awful. Started with some M and Ms and just kept going thru the pantry. Part way thru it, I realized I didn't even want to be eating all this stuff, but still kept going. I feel so yucky and discouraged right now and really wished I would not have done it. I think it was triggered by my slipping back into a diet mentality-not really restricting food, but eating some of the same foods day after day, just because they were easy and I knew they were " safe " . Did anyone else have struggles and relapses as they began intutitve eating? I could really use some encouragement, knowing that I can get back up and do this!

Yes, don't let the binge discourage you.  I have done that many times.  It gets better. But it takes time.  We are here to support you.  Thanks for sharing.
