Guest guest
complex history, but will get to the point. had amenorrhea for 8 years (eating disorder, went long durations of eating low cals, NO fat, NO carbs, just egg whites, chicken breast, ff cottage cheese, etc. 4-6 hours of exercise a day) so when I began eating more and exercising less, and gained weight, nothing has ever been the same sense. in any case, here is a quick overview of my labs: May 2008: TSH, 3rd generation 1.67 (ref. range .40-4.50) t-4, free .8 (ref range .8-1.8 ) Cortisol 10.3 (4.0-22) t3, free 154L (230-420) ACTH, plasma 5 (5-27) Glucose, 50 Thyroglobulin <20 (range says <20 IU/mL) Thyroid Peroxidase <10 (range <35 IU/mL) t3, reverse 25 (11-32) August 2009: TPO <10 (range <35) T4, Free .9 (.8-1.8) TSH 1.96 (.40-4.50) T3, Free 240 (230-420) October 2009: tsh: 2.940 t4, free: .81 (.82-1.77) Reverse t3: 195 (90-350) t3, free 2.1 (2.0-4.4) So then I took compounded t4/t3 (50mg or mcg whatever it is, and 1 mg t3 slow release) and after 2 weeks (too quick I know, but I felt horrible) these were my labs: (was on hc, 20 mg) tsh 1.460 (.450-4.500) t3, free 1.9 (2.0-4.4) t4, free .93 (.82-1.77) Now I have been on erfa for one month, first 1/2 grain now 1 grain. I am gaining weight, I was 143 now 154. Hair is falling out much more and everytime I take erfa I fall asleep for about 2 hours. More info: Many symptoms since I had tonsils adnoids removed at age 11 (I started my period the next day after the surgery), always fatigued, heavy bleeding, long cylces (2 weeks), my skin is dark naturally and now I am pale, bruise easily, and cannot tan. my face, hands, feet, are orange. hair is falling out and losing colour, turning grey. it's going from black to reddish brown and losing pigmentation entirely. i cant sleep thru the night, i lose muscle easily. acne on chin. major constipation, no BM for over 2 weeks at a time. extreme fatigue. amenorrhea for 8 years until I started sex hormones. can't finish anything I start. insulin resistant.. the list goes on.. Why am I having such a horrid reaction? I am more constipated, gaining weight (never had this problem before, even when my ft3 was much lower). just cant take this anymore. I thought the thyroid would make me feel better but I feel worse and fat. is it the t4 to blame, in your opinion?? its looks like i have a tumor my abdomen is so distended, every time i take thyroid.
