I started on T3 in July. I have never been on thyroid

medicine before. Thought I did some clearing in October in spurts. I felt like

I had overdosed on caffeine a couple of times. Haven't felt anything like that

since then. I feel wonderful. My years of depression and lethargy have all but

disappeared. So, I have been very busy and active. I started to forget to take

T3 meds as a result of my busy schedule. Noticed I had put on a couple of

pounds and was starting to need a bit more sleep. For the last month or so I

have been very focused on taking the T3, even using the alarm on my phone as a

reminder. I am now taking 25mcg. every 3 hours all day long. My pulse has been

mid 60's, my temps are in the 96 range. I haven't taken temps and pulse since September

or October, but both are much lower now that I am taking them again. Once a

week or less, I may feel a bit shaky just prior to an afternoon dose, so I may

delay the dose an hour. Oh, and I have not endured insomnia in several months,

and that's after many, many years of only being able to sleep a few hours a

night!

I am due for blood work. I had an extremely low vitamin D

level last April or May and have been on 6000 IU of vitamin D since then. Chiropractor

is ready for me to have my levels checked again. What tests should I have done?

I started taking T3 because blood work showed my rT3 levels

at the very top end of normal. When I started researching it I discovered I had

a lot of hypo symptoms and found this group. I do not have a doctor, I run

everything by my chiro who understands thyroid issues much better than any MD I

have seen.

I know I still have a lot to figure out, but if it hadn't

been for finding this group I wouldn't have seen the wonderful improvements I

have so far. Thanks so much. I am grateful!

Thanks,
