Guest guest
.....Just watch out for that kim chee! Chris Re: Glo Glo if you can eat some of the Korean food you will be nice and trim. My friend Bernice was there a couple of years ago and she said they eat a lot of low carb and no bread and the people are not very over weight. Of course you will be living on a base I imagine but take the time to learn all about the culture and when you come back you can share e it with school kids. Bernice's son was teaching English as a second language. You might be able to do that but he went to Japan as they had a financial set back and the school could not pay him And of course you can always write to us. Guest guest
I've never heard of this. Where would I buy it? And would it be cooked already or would I be cooking it? corky Re: Glo Yes, Kim Chee is pretty low-carb. It's just marinated, fermented cabbage. There is no sugar in the one I buy - I like the hot one. It is LOADED with garlic - and really stinks between the garlic and the fermented cabbage. I love it, though! Please visit our homepage at http://members.xoom.com/AChallengersYou will find information, recipes, before and after pictures. To contact the list owner please send mail to lindag@...Visit our 2000 Train Tour Site - http://www.brunnet.net/k & l/web_site_train_tour/actraintour.htm
Guest guest
In the states, it's in the produce section - in jars.
Guest guest
Kim Chee is already cooked. It's like a salad or something. It's really not cooked - it's fermented. It's real stinky, so if you don't like stinky food, don't buy it.

Guest guest
Thanks so much ... once we get to Korea, I'll do ok, I'm sure as I'll have all of you to help me, in more ways than y'all know... I'm not sure how I'm going to do for a month in Florida and another 2 to 4 weeks in California on the way!!! We'll be eating out for most of that time!!! Getting to Florida from Arizona should be a piece of cake, cuz I will take lots of lc snacks for in the car for me and for Sheena... What I'm going to do for a month in Florida while Rick is in school during the day is beyond me but I'm sure I can fill up the nights! glo Waldman wrote: > Dear Glo: > I bet it will help you once you go to Korea, to have those numbers as > a baseline, and to see how you do. Guest guest
>>>GLO WROTE>>> .... daughter in Virginia Beach, she and her husband will be moving back to San in the fall when her husband gets out of the navy. Then a son in San Francisco, he and his wife will move back to Texas in a couple of year when finishes graduate school. Good grief, Glo... now not only will you be wearing down the asphalt on I 35 between Bastrop and Ft. Worth, you'll also be southbound to San ! Maybe your son will settle in between them and closer to you, in the Austin area when he moves back to Texas. And NO, you're not nuts for driving back and forth to Ft. Worth every week to babysit... how blessed you are that you're able to do it. What a loving grandmum you are! :-) Hugs, Janet
