Guest guest
Great job! Sandy OK, I just have to share. I took a four week " crash course " in belly dancing because a coworker talked me into it. (Or maybe I talked her into it, I'm not sure which.) I was really nervous to do any sort of dancing because I am not that coordinated and I do not have a " dancer's body. " But I have LOVED this class. And even though my fourth class was this morning, yesterday I belly danced in public for the first time, as part of a flash mob. Yeah, flash mobbing it, belly dancing style, when I'd only had three hours of instruction. I have no shame. Hee hee. It was so cool--the studio is so inviting to women of all shapes and sizes and physiques. I feel so comfortable there, and I feel so sexy shaking my hips around and shimmying! Roth talks about wearing something special when you're having a " fat and ugly attack " and I think a hip scarf is going to be my something special. I just can't feel awful when every move I make comes with the thin, tiny sound of coins jangling together. Here's a link to the video. I hope it's OK to share it here. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vAyqGgwby8wUnfortunately, I was standing off to the far right, so it's hard to see me. But at the very end a woman walks across the crosswalk with her husband (in a striped shirt) and that's me. I have on a black hip scarf with silver coins on it.
