YAY! They will even send you a pre-paid FedEx envelope so you can overnight it to Medicare. I was told by the Enbrel people that it takes at least 2-3 weeks to be approved or not once Medicare gets your paperwork. It took my doctor 10 days just to get his page signed. :-( Nina
Guest guest
First off, welcome back! And I know what you mean about feeling elderly, I told my husband on a particularly bad day that I felt like I was 90 years old! I do hope that the enbrel works for you I just want to say that I'm only 42 and when my doc put me on Celebrex it made me have mini strokes, decreased sensation and numbness on my left side, and dizzy spells. Once I stopped taking it and it got out of my system, all those symptoms went away. So I just want you all to be very careful, please. I know that it works great for some people, and I'm happy for you, but just don't believe that those side effects are only for the elderly. YAY! so today i'll take my 3rd shot i started last saturday and i take it on saturdays and wednesdays. and so far so good. i am still on mtx every monday. and all my other fun meds. i have seen a slight change. my knee isnt hurting me very much, nore are my wrists, sholders, neck and fingers. right now the only thing hurting is my elbows. its weird... to answer some back questions people were talking about sores in the mouth from mtx i get them and it pisses me off. ARG! ok off to enjoy a beautiful day here in michigan. *gentle hugs* ~Dawn~
