You might ask next time you talk to him.... also, even if you get staples they should be faded quite well by the time you should expose your incision to the sun. I had 50 some staples and you can barely see the marks now at almost 6 months post op.

Guest guest
Hi, I can only second that the staple marks disappear very fast.......... I had some acupuncture on the site before and after and the Resurface scar seems to be doing the best in my collection........... And in all honesty, I also suspect that not being in pain and getting back to your self will work far more wonders on your social life than any negativities that may be caused by the scar you need to acquire to achieve that........... If that's a thought that can help at this point........ Then again you could also join the tattoo culture and make it a feature..........smile Edith LBHR Sydney 8/02 > If it really matters enough, (and I understand how > important having the right body image is, in certain > contexts), then you can use waterproof makeup on it > after it heals over (a few weeks), and after a year or > so if it is still too obvious you can have plastic > surgery. > > Choose your surgeon for his track record and your > confidence in him - don't even mention a concern about > the eventual outside appearance - that you can fix > later . > > L BHR, McMinn, 27 Nov 2002, 7 " scar, 30 staples > artifex > >

Guest guest
Mine were subcutaneous stitches. Surgeon's choice. I have a fine red line about 10 inches long- which I am told will fade. Actually I think it is kind of cool. I regard it as a battle scar- my fight against osteoarthritis and a life of decreased activity from which I arose victorious! Ta DAH!! oh- sorry. Got carried away..... Rock climbin' Jude LBHR De Smet 09/11/02 Re: Surgical Time/Incision Length? How come some of you got > staples and some subcutaneous stitches ?
