Guest guest
I'm so sorry for your loss, Debbie. And, I'm glad you didn't stay away! ;o) I haven't had a blighted ovum, but I did find a good article that may address some of your questions: http://www.babycenter.com/expert/pregnancy/pregcomplications/4754.html I found that website very helpful...of course it is directed for " normies " and not WLSers, but it's still a great place for info. You're in my prayers... Blessings, Jordan's Mommy ( in California) Blighted Ovum Has anyone else had a diagnosis of a blighted ovum which caused a miscarriage and been able to conceive afterward? Thanks! Debbie PS...I found it too hard to stay away.

Guest guest
Debbie, I'm glad you didnt go away. I felt bad, because I didnt want to tell you to stay if it was hurting you more. I am not familiar with a " blighted ovum " what exactly does it mean? And what has your doctor said about conceiving in the future? I pray that you can overcome whatever it is and conceive again! Marcy Blighted Ovum Has anyone else had a diagnosis of a blighted ovum which caused a miscarriage and been able to conceive afterward? Thanks! Debbie PS...I found it too hard to stay away. Guest guest
Thanks , I didnt even know what it meant. I've had a miscarriage before, but the doctor never told me what caused it. I think this article will be good news for Debbie, as she will be able to see that you can try again. However, I know there are emotional issues involved too. Debbie, I dont blame you for being hurt and tired! It does sound like you want to try again though, so hopefully the article posted will help you! Guest guest
> Has anyone else had a diagnosis of a blighted ovum which caused a miscarriage and been able to conceive afterward? Debbie, a blighted ovum is actually a pretty common reason for m/c and I know quite a few women who have gone on to have babies. I pray that this information gives you hope. Guest guest
Rita, I guess what scares me the most is that my age is getting up there and everyone I talk to in my family considers me an idiot for even trying. I will be 44 years old in March but according to both my HR OB and my PCP, I'm healthier now than I ever have been. I am so torn about trying again. I want a baby more than anything but I also don't want to jeopardize that baby's future either. None of the doctors will give me advice other than it has to be my decision. If I was capable of making that decision, I wouldn't have asked them in the first place. I have done some extensive reading on blighted ovums and even though they haven't said that's what it was, the ultrasound was exactly the same. I do believe the miscarriage has started. My lower back is killing me and I had some tiny clotting when I went to the bathroom. I'm not quite sure what to expect with this since my last one was a D & C and I know that they are completely different. Thanks for your help. Guest guest
Marcy, I never have been a quitter. I still cry buckets over this and probably will for a long time to come but I know in my heart that I have to keep trying until the doctors tell me that it's impossible. Thanks for everything. By the way, I am now Mrs. Jody Bradley as of 6:20 pm on Saturday, August 10th. Debbie Blighted Ovum Has anyone else had a diagnosis of a blighted ovum which caused a miscarriage and been able to conceive afterward? Thanks! Debbie PS...I found it too hard to stay away. Guest guest
, No honeymoon plans currently. I am waiting for this miscarriage to be over. Then I'll sprinkle sand all over the bedroom, run naked and jump on the bed and tell him that we are pretending we're at the Super Club called Hedonism We are under a tremendous financial strain right now and we wanted to start saving for a baby. So, rather than jinx anything, we're going to continue to try to save. Heck, I MIGHT even feed him grapes and fan him to keep him cool when the " tropical heat " starts. Now I think I need a cold shower. Debbie Re: Blighted Ovum Congrats, Debbie!
