Guest guest
Hi Georgiapeach, love that quote " eating to live " Sandy so far so good. thinking positive and not letting the world get me down (especially the diet (world thinking). i am eating good/healthy/unprocessed foods and enjoying them. i am relishing the sight and the smell and even the (sound) of the food. ever look at the green beans for example? how green? how fresh they are? how good they are? and a watermelon? especially when it is ice cold out of the fridge? mouth watering good...i use to eat because i get upset or am depressed or bored (i am sure i will again around pms time) but now i want to eat because i am hungry. and i will eat until i am full and i will eat things that are good for my body...i truly believe that food is not the problem. the problem is/was me and how much i ate and what i ate.....now i will eat but change what i eat. i am eating to live... Guest guest
Hi, georgiapeach. I just had an interesting experience which I'd like to share. I felt I was hungry after about an hour after breakfast and so I decided to eat something. I now keep my fridge stocked with foods, good foods, that I enjoy. that includes ice cream (I hardly ever eat it now), chicken salad, cole slaw, kalamata olives, seafood salad, varying. I put on my plate the cole slaw, a little bit of chicken salad, some marinated salad including olives & vegetables. After I ate the cole slaw and had a few bites of the chicken salad, I felt full. Much as I loved what was on my plate, I stopped eating! What a change! I would have eaten everything on my plate before IE, now I'm going to put it back in the fridge. :-) Take care. Guest guest
Thanks, Sandy. I put that plate in the fridge and I had to stay in the house while the electrician was here. I began to get hungry, but the time passed for the lunch special in the restaurant. So I decided i'd eat the remainder of what was on that plate. it tasted good, but now I'm no longer hungry. I say this with a wistful expression on my face. I'm happy I'm no longer hungry, and will remind myself that I will get hungry in a while and can eat something else I enjoy. :-) Now that makes me happy!
