My version of AVG is a freebie, and it usually attaches it ok, but I only see it if I scroll to the bottom of a post on a list =). I have just changed email programs, so I don't know if the certified notice is even going on any more!! I wonder whether your email program makes any difference ? Hope this helps, Donna B. (N.Z.) Guest guest
Hi Donna: I don't know either but I was thinking about deleting it and trying over again. Mine is the free version. Thought I would just try it before investing any money. Maybe I'll do that today. Thanks, Donna Jen in Oregon Re: Digest Number 1063 > Dear , > you wrote: > > > Hmmm, I've been wondering about this too. Guest guest
and Mog, Thank you for the advice. I'm going to get some mint tea and try that and yes, unfortunately my thyroid is fine. I only say " unfortunately " b/c I wish it weren't b/c that way I could at least fix it! Someone wrote to me and suggested I try Virgin Coconut oil but I couldn't write them back due to email difficulties. I'm trying to find out more about it, but I think the coldness has something to do with the fact that, w/o sugar and stuff, I have a non-existant metabolism. When I go on the Candida diet and exercise 30 min a day I stay the same or *gain* weight (and not muscle.) If I eat a lot of sugar, I lose 5 lbs. Literally, a reverse metabolism. *sigh* I only hope that doing the Candida diet well for a longer time will really help get everything back into line. Has anyone else here had weirdness with their metabolism? OK, thanks for all your help everyone! Hugs! Message: 11 Date: Sat, 15 Dec 2001 10:10:20 EST From: mogdrmom@... I do know that mint circulates in the body and has a warming effect. Guest guest
I have a friend whose brother had severe disabilities. I can remember asking her about the effect he had on her. She said, " It made me know how much my parents loved ME, because I knew that if anything bad ever happened to me, they would be there to love and care for me...no matter what! Yes, it will be extra work and that will take away time from the others, but they will also get lots of extra love. Guest guest
Believe me, having a child with DS is well not really a breeze, but compared to a medical condition like diabetes, well, lets just say much more managable! ~ Mom to 11 DS and Diabetes Type 1 and 7 NY
Guest guest
I get my non lignan flaxseed oil (higher amount of omega-3 without the lignans) from vitaminworld. The oil has a nice light taste and is very high quality and I have been using it for over two years. To get the lignans, I fresh grind flaxseed and mix with yoghurt of cottage cheese. Please know that flaxseed oil is very fragile and once opened must be kept refrigerated. It is not a good idea to take much more than a tablespoon a day without the sulpherated proteins....... flaxseedoil2-subscribe is focused on Dr. Johanna Budwig's protocol using flaxseed oil for any number of health issues. Hope this helps In a message dated 3/19/03 4:08:14 PM Eastern Standard Time, writes: > Hi Lori and List, > One of the best sources of the Essential Omega-3 Fatty Acids, that are hard > > to get in the standard diet is found in Flax Oil. Guest guest
I wonder if this Sure Start consultation process might be a useful vehicle for raising some of your issues Sure Start has been requested to set up meetings with local parents and practitioners in their own organisation -local Sure Start Centres- to prepare considered comment from each local programme on the Green Paper Every Child Matters The Unit have prepared a proforma of questions 1. How can statutory (social services, health, education), voluntary, community organisations and parents/carers best work together to meet the needs of the child? 2. How can we ensure that no children slip through the system? Eg. the introduction of an ID system 3. Apart from education, what services would you like to see in your nursery and/or school? 4.How do you think the government can best help families at difficult times? When parents/carer's cant get work When there is illness or tradgedy in the family When family members are in prison 5. Should information on parents and carers such as domestic violence, imprisonment, mental health or drug problems be shared between agencies? (soc services, police. schools) When? By Whom? 6. How do you think children and families should have a say in deciding what extra help they need? 7. What ideas do you have for encouraging people to consider careers that involve working with children and families, such as social work or child care? 8. How should we spend the parenting fund? Other comments and suggestions The parenting fund stands at 25 million for a period of 3 years Of course I am particularly interested in question 7 at a time when health visiting is being squashed against the wall as it lives in one government department DOH another government department seems to be saying - I wonder what is to be done to encourage people in DfES!!!!!!! The GP Executive Summary (11)pages) and the Young Person's version (13 pages) can be ordered free from the Publications Centre ref DFES0672/2003, CYPUECM tel 0845 60 222 60 or email www.dfes@... or downloaded along with full version from www.dfes.gov.uk/everychildmatters Perhaps people might gather together locally (those who cant make it to the London meeting) and use these questions as a sort of starting point for collective response.
