Guest guest
I don't know if this is the same as yours but In the middle of the night I will awaken to a severe stabbing pain that quickly turns to a burning pain. It usually lasts for 10 to 20 minutes. It has become increasingly worse. It feels like it is deep inside the heel. The Calcanus bone I believe. I need to check it out.Had ankel surgery but nothing appeared. I know this is not imaginary. Thing is it only does it when I am asleep. First one foot than the other.....Skye
Guest guest
Probably different but you never know. In my case the doctor said there is severe damage to some of the proximal bones so it's the same area. Apparently one of the dangers of surgery there is that other nearby bones may be affected. So far I have no appointment for a consultation with an orthopedic dr but he said they would set one up. Guest guest
Hi Elly: I wish I could answer your questions about your feet. I know my RA is worse in my feet and ankles. I too see a foot Dr., had shots in my feet 3x for Plantair Fascia. The pain from this was outrageous! I also have bone nodueles on the outside of my foot, which is very painful. All this made me very unbalanced when I tried to walk. I hope you can get some help from your foot dr., and your Rheumy. We all sacrifice for our children when we have to. I am glad you had a nice talk with them, and told them how you are feeling, and what needs to be done to make you feel better. I am sure your children will be a great source of comfort and help to you. I hope you get lots of the rest you need. I pray you will feel better soon, and get out of all that pain. This is such a hard disease to deal with. God Bless you Elly, and talk soon. Once again, thanks for writing to me. It means a lot to me. Hugs, Barbara > > Hi! > > It's been awhile since I've posted, as I've been " lurking " for awhile - too busy to respond to all posts - yet saying silent prayers for healing, both physically and emotionally, to all my RA/Fibro virtual friends! > > My question is has anyone any advise/suggestions for me now that my feet have progressed to the point where my toe bones have eroded to the point where they've doubled up on top of one another creating balance and mobility issues due to the fact that I wasn't taking my prescribed medicines and resting when I should have. I put my kids needs above my own, and now I'm paying the ultimate price for this! I've sat both kids (now almost 20 and 18) down and told them that I must put my own health needs above ALL else from now on in! They both understand. My main question is anyone have any insight as to whether or not I can reverse this foot " deformity'? > > Thanks for your advise/suggestions. I return to my foot doc tomorrow and the Rheumy next week. My foot doc (who I saw for the first time 2 weeks ago) put me on 2 weeks on restriction of no more than 30 min/day of being on my feet and extra deep shoes which are great! I'm now wearing Aravon shoes, made by New Balance and I have a pair of PW Minor shoes on order. > > I hope and pray for as pain free days for all of you as possible and for you and your families/friends to be able to support you with your RA/Fibro issues! > > Elly in WA State > >
Guest guest
Elly, I'm very sorry to hear about your feet. Surgery may be an option. Let us know what your physicians say.
