Guest guest
Hi , thanks for the reply. Sorry to hear about your shoulder and knees. So far no dr has mentioned replacement joints for my wife. She just had a shoulder MRI and will see the doc in early May to discuss it. It'll be interesting to see how much her shoulder is damaged. Your migraine story is really amazing. Wow, it shows you never know what might help the headaches. When my wife gets them we spend hours trying to retrace every tiny thing she did that day that might have brought it on - was it food? or the humidity? or not enough rest? On and on, but have never been able to figure out the real cause. I always figured it was connected to the RA somehow. Maybe a pinched nerve or something. Who knows... certainly not the docs, lol. Anyway, I would be curious to get the real name for the blood pressure drug that cured your migraines. Did the headaches stop "immediately" after you took the first few pills? If so, it would be worth a try (after checking with her doc) for her to take a couple doses maybe. Thanks, Don & Eileen john no_way wrote: Hello Don & Eleen, And all other new people allso , Well as for the shoulder pain your wife has , I allso have it badly in the right shoulder , and at times it is very bad when aggervated it takes many weeks to months for mine to claim down to a more standable level and I was told a replacement was what I needed as jenny said earlier but I was at a between point not bad enought to have one and too bad to do anything for so I get the dep -mydol shots ( spelling might be wrong ) the help me a bit I allso have stage 4 and 2 O/A in my knees and need at least one replacement knee but too young there same shots there along with Decadron , but they only claim my pain for a few days or weeks at best if i'm lucky . Guest guest
Don I hate to do a sales pitch because I'm certainly not trying to sell anyone on anything, just help, but I would like to share with you that my girlfriend has suffered severe headaches 4 - 6 times per week for over 40 years and after one month of taking the nutritional product I take she was down to less then one head ache per month. Might be worth trying since it's got an empty bottle guarantee, if she gets no results she could return it for refund and lose out only on the shipping. Never know she could have success with other RA pains as well like I have and many others do. Guest guest
Hello Don , the non generic name of the med is ZIAC 5/6 looks like my dose is .25 mg and i was on it a couple of years before they tried to take me off , and no you cannt just stop taking it you have to tapper off it too or as with me take when they took me off it he had me just take it every other day then couple of days and so on cannt remember excatly but hope this answers your questions . And I could never track my tirggers of my headaches either I would at times wind up in the RE and sometimes they would keep me till they claimed as the pain would raise my blood pressure so much . good luck with the DR visit of the shoulder ! later john ----- Original Message ----- From: Don K Rheumatoid Arthritis Sent: Wednesday, April 27, 2005 7:17 PM Subject: Re: hello Don and Eleen Hi , thanks for the reply. Guest guest
Thanks for the suggestion . Eileen has been trying another, similar product called Noni juice. It has really helped a friend of ours who was ill (not with RA). But so far it hasn't done much for Eileen. There are a lot of organic type products, and I'm sure each one is doing some good for someone. I guess the trick is to try them all until you hopefully find one that works for you. Guest guest
Maybe she could try increasing the amount she is taking, I do know Noni Juice has helped others, but, we are all different. I couldn't take the taste of Noni Juice, yuck so it wasn't something I would try. Guest guest
LOL, I never even got past the "smell"!! Eileen says it's the most horrible tasting stuff she's ever had. I'll take her word for it. Anyway she's been on it for a few months now and it hasn't helped at all. Her friend had good success with it for Menopause symptoms and some other stuff. Thanks, Don & Eileen Dorey wrote: Maybe she could try increasing the amount she is taking, I do know Noni Juice has helped others, but, we are all different.
