Thanks for the info. I thought MTX did halt

progression of the disease; that my addition of Enbrel

was just because the MTX wasn't working alone. So,

while I'm not happy to read your post, and I'm sorry

for your experience, I'm glad you chimed in:)

I would worry about dropping back completely. From my

reading methotrexate only controls symptoms and does

not seem to claim to halt joint damage. In fact I can

tell you it doesn't because I was practically written

off by my rheumy as under control with MTX and

Voltaren until he took some hand and foot X-Rays and

saw new joint damage.
