Guest guest
I just watched this movie for the second time and I was wondering has one else in this forum seen this movie. It's truly amazing and I believe worth the time for anyone to watch. Makes you really think about what is reality. If you ever questioned why it's so important to feed your mind the correct thoughts this movie helps to explain that. I'd love to hear what others think of the movie. Guest guest
I've seen it, but you probably don't want to hear what I think. It's a pop culture presentation of a very old philosophy -- we determine our own "luck." It draws heavily on Buddhism and comes off as rather insultingly elementary. The entire content could have been presented effectively in a 15-minute skit, and the movie itself is geared towards adolescents, but is much too long and boring for them. ----- Original Message ----- From: Rheumatoid Arthritis Sent: Thursday, April 28, 2005 2:26 AM Subject: What the Bleep Do We Know I just watched this movie for the second time and I was wondering has one else in this forum seen this movie. Guest guest
It's interesting how different people view things in such different ways. Perhaps because I've seen Quantum Physics at work I have a belief. I've watched peoples lives transform into exactly what they wanted in life. Of course it was a process that took years but the lives changed into what they wanted. Guest guest
That's not always a good thing (ie you need to be careful about what you think you want. Guest guest
My post has nothing to do with "belief." It has to do with the presentation of the subject matter, and I felt it was extremely elementary. ----- Original Message ----- From: Dorey Rheumatoid Arthritis Sent: Thursday, April 28, 2005 11:46 AM Subject: Re: What the Bleep Do We Know It's interesting how different people view things in such different ways. Guest guest
Being happy and/or satisfied with your life has a lot more to do with wanting what you have, rather than having what you want<g>. ----- Original Message ----- From: Annette McKinnon Rheumatoid Arthritis Sent: Thursday, April 28, 2005 1:02 PM Subject: Re: What the Bleep Do We Know That's not always a good thing (ie you need to be careful about whatyou think you want. Guest guest
I couldn't disagree with you more but that's what makes the world an interesting place. We all have our own thoughts. That movie had a simple message, as you stated, but a message that many don't get. If we learn to change our thoughts, then as a result of that change, we change our actions and it's this combination that changes our lives. Simple yet difficult at times since we are programed what to think at a very early age. Guest guest
I don't know; I never found it all that difficult to "get" that message. It's not rocket science -- I don't think beating someone over the head with it for two hours is exactly an approved teaching technique. If you truly live by this belief, then why wouldn't you want whatever comes into your life? If you leave the negativity behind, stop feeling sorry for yourself, and learn from everything that happens, then why would you want to "change" your thoughts? Change them to what? ----- Original Message ----- From: Dorey Rheumatoid Arthritis Sent: Thursday, April 28, 2005 2:32 PM Subject: Re: What the Bleep Do We Know I couldn't disagree with you more but that's what makes the world an interesting place.
