Guest guest Posted May 25, 2011 Report Share Posted May 25, 2011 Hey Everyone, I'm searching for creative outlets to help me both draw out my emotions and feelngs and cope with them and not use food. I've already mentioned in one post- a reply to Casey's proverb- that I use Proverbs, a book in the Bible, to cope, but I'm looking to all art - poetry, music, books, painting sculpture. Experiencing arts hits the nerves that I numb by complusively eating and I want to learn to experience them- life at it's fullest! I'm not sure why, but seeing a painting that really moves me, or reading a poem that seems to be speaking directly to my soul is the only thing that can be better than a snack.
