I'm not familiar with that process but I would get at least a second opinion before any surgery I was not fully confident with. God bless.

Subject: "Release" of Tendons

Has anyone had the cutting/release of tendons done in their fingers? That is what has been recommended to me. My middle finger on my right hand and index finger on my left have become real tight, and extremely painful. I haven't even considered it until recently, and today after mopping the floor it took almost half an hour before that index finger could come back to it's already bent position. :-(Just wondering if anyone else has gone through this.Kathy_____________________________________________________________Switch to Netscape Internet Service. As low as $9.95 a month -- Sign up today at http://isp.netscape.com/emregNetscape. Hi Kathy,

I would get a second opinion, and maybe ask about trying cortisone injections first. I had a tendon release done on my right thumb, and ended up with adhesions and a second surgery. Recovery ended up a lot longer than planned, and it still isn't quite right.

Thanks Diane for the response. This is what worries me, I had carpal tunnel

surgery done in 2001 and have had trouble ever since, in my right hand. What

scares me is this thing is now in my left hand.
