Guest guest
I was doing cooked pears but I've added cooked peaches/nectarines into the mix. (blushing now that someone asked) -- I was also giving her a few bananas here and there but I've just stopped doing that wasn't helping any. And she's been drinking watered down grape juice, which I just stopped this morning. I started with very watered down pomegranate juice and alternating with very watered down black cherry juice. fruits weither cooked or not will still feed yeast, what kinds of fruits are you doing? Also, do you use enzymes with her? I'd talk to my dan about a multifaceted plan of attack. P.S. The Buick is good...takes a licking and keeps on ticking and is still available for services. You just say the word, mama : ) To: mb12 valtrex Sent: Wed, January 12, 2011 2:45:25 AMSubject: Re: Re: Firmed stools when on antibiotics for an ear infection We had our dd's stools tested back in December and I have to go back to the ND to get a hold of the results...I haven't gone back there just yet because funds are kind of tight here and I'm waiting on a few checks from my clients. Maia was on Amoxcillin in November for an ear infection and she was also on Amoxcillin for another ear infection during the summer. In November, she went through 2 rounds of Amox and both times, we had perfectly digested, perfectly formed stools for a few weeks afterwards. I had also changed diets during that time, really eliminating the carbs so, at first, that was what I thought did it and I hadn't correlated it to the abx. I still have her on a similar diet but I just can't get the stools right. In fact, it's gone from bad to worse now. She had some wicked diarrhea yesterday and no matter how much enzymes I used, there was undigested food. Her poop's been degrading for about 8 weeks now. I've been doing everything I can think of dietary. NOTHING is working. I pulled all cane sugar, carbs, I'm cooking fruit first before giving it to her, I'm trying to give her the most easily digested food. NOTHING is working. I might go see our DAN (he's still covered by our universal healthcare here for another few months) and see if I can get a script for abx. Have you had your daughter’s stool tested for bacteria? My son had giardia and C. diff. We started with Flagyl (metronidazole benzonate). It cleared the giardia but not the c.diff. we just finished a round of vancomycin and his stools have firmed back up but we haven’t received the test results to see if the c.diff is gone.
