Give it up on Oprah! A few years back Shomon had an effort going

to get thyroid disease discussed on the show. She even had her

publisher contact the show. There was a write in request from

hundreds of patients. Oprah was totally unresponsive. This all occured

after Oprah did a show on womens health issues and much of the focus

was on depression, overweight, sexual disfunction! Thyroid was never

mentioned in any of topics. Thyroid disease has such a broad base of

symptoms she probably didn't want to get in over head.

I can't find any way online to watch this. There are only a few short clips on

her website. Even the transcripts cost $25. That's bummer.

I couldn't find a way to watch it either.but there was an article on the website that i could read that seemed like maybe a summary.
