Guest guest
Katcha, just to add to that and it has been mentioned before, but often hunger is really thirst. Sandy Tai I've heard this same thing from many other people too - " I'm ALWAYS hungry! " Which as you and I know translates into " I really don't know what hungry is. " Add into that the reality of emotional 'hunger' or eating in reaction to XXXXX and its not a stretch to be constantly 'hungry'. What they most likely are is UNSATISFIED not to mention afraid of being hungry so fear such a thing as IE which suggests that eating only when 'hungry' as a guideline for eating. I said, you said it and probably 99% of all members here have said the same thing at one time or another - If I only ate when hungry I'd blow up like a balloon because I'm ALWAYS hungry ;-) Happily we have found otherwise!!! Katcha IEing since March 2007 > > Jane, I have a question. This one who said she's always hungry, is she thin? Not that that's the goal, but I wouldn't want to always be hungry, would you? But anyway, I'm curious. Tai

Guest guest
LOL, well, no, it's sad that so many are starving, but yes, they are always hungry, unfortunately literally. I hope in real life no one tells me (ESPECIALLY if they're thin) that they're ALWAYS hungry and I hope I will tactfully refrain from mentioning that the Ethiopians are always hungry. I should not have said that and would not in "real life." I hope I wouldn't anyway. Guest guest
Tai, I think it hit home with me though as to how casually I use the phrase " hungry all the time " or " starving to death " , neither of which are true for me of course. And there are some countries/people are experiencing both of that. I don't think it was something you should not have said but I can understand that in public that might not be appropriate. Guest guest
Thank you, Sandy. What I meant was that if a person is truly hungry all the time, it is not a good thing, not something to be desired. That has been one of my main forms of resistance even to THINK about dieting now -- I don't want to be hungry in the way I used to be. I'm much more satisfied thinking that I can live normally, get hungry and look forward to eating when I am hungry. Isn't that normal? What a wonderful thought! Thanks for understanding, you're very kind.
