Guest guest
Hello. My name is , and I'm a work-from-home mom to three boys: a 2-year-old and identical twin 8-month-olds. I have struggled with my weight and body image as long as I can remember, but recently the idea of another diet has just made me feel like I'd rather pull out my hair. A friend suggested Intuitive Eating, and when I read about the Last Supper eating, I knew finally someone got me. Finally, I'm ready to be FREE from food obsession. It has stolen too many years of my life away, and I don't want it to steal time away from my children. I want to be present in their lives. So, I've read the first few chapters of the book, and I'm sold on the philosophy, at least from a mental perspective, but I'm still a bit scared of not being on a diet even though I know they don't work. I'm afraid of getting even heavier and not being able to wear clothes I just started wearing since having the babies. I'd love some words of wisdom. Also, I wonder if any of you have worked with a dietitian to get help with applying the principle of IE to your life? If so, how did you find someone?
