Guest guest
I usually just read and not comment, but let me say: First of all we are Dallas Fire-Rescue Department. Secondly we respond to nursing homes and even outside an emergency room if it is a 911 call. Lastly, you are all correct so let's move on. I hope you all attend the GETAC Committee meetings during the convention, like it or not this is the system we have for making/changing rules. Until this process changes let's work within the current system to make the necessary improvements to provide the best health care for the citizen of Texas and those who happen to pass through our great state. Let's push to make 911 available for all areas of the state. Gene I respect your passion and I appreciate everything you do, even though I may disagree with some of your ideas I know you act out love and not malice wish we all would. The Board of Certification of Emergency Nurses for Certified Emergency Nurses (CENs) and the American Association of Critical Care Nurses for Critical Care Nurses (CCRNs) are two that I can think of right off hand. To further complicate matters, there are advanced degree options for Family Nurse Practitioner and Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. As you can see, the nursing waters are just as murky if not worse than for EMS. -Alfonso R. Ochoa

Guest guest
Basic Nursing is basic nursing, you take the NCLEX, you get regulated by the BNE. Additional is just that. I have no issuse with ours functioning the same, and add CCEMT-P, FP-C, EMT-T, etc. Re: MANDATORY READING ----- How can I fix EMSAT?? > > My analgoy is as valid as it gets.
