Guest guest
Sandy,What a cool experiment! Please let us know how it goes!Best,Abby A few weeks ago I realized I was looking at my clock to see if it was lunch time or dinner time. When I was at my daughter's I noticed she did not have a clock in her kitchen or any where easily visible.I found myself being very uncomfortable but not eating by the clock. Yesterday I took my clock off the wall and I have looked over there 100 times I'll bet. My neck is soar. But I realized this will help me a lot to eat when I am hungry and not because it is " time " . This is only my second day so I will see how it goes. It certainly is interesting. Guest guest
Good job Sandy!! Being able to see and remove a trigger plus observe the after effects of that ought to be mighty interesting for you. Looking forward to hearing how it goes for you as time passes. Guest guest
Katcha, thanks. I was in the hospital for a liver biopsy for out patient and then at my daughter's for a day. So I've been away from home for 2 days. I find I am not looking at the wall(where clock was) as often. Of course my whole IE was off kilter because of the overnight fast and didn't get to eat until noon. But I did ok anyway, probably assisted by side effects from anestheisa. This morning I got into the " gold fish " cookies and ate quite a few. I felt miserable and then wasn't hungry until late afternoon. I didn't beat myself up though. Just noted that I don't want to feel like that again. Sandy Good job Sandy!! Being able to see and remove a trigger plus observe the after effects of that ought to be mighty interesting for you. Guest guest
Sandy - I'm thinking good thoughts for positive results on your liver biopsy. That had to be anxious making for you. And now its past - phew! I understand the reactionary (relief) eating. We do need to have such pressure relief options and realize that these won't continue forever too. Hubby and I took a few days 'off' going out of town to a 'fun' event. I bought some 'play food' just because and ate it joyfully at first, then with hhhmmmm - testing mode next and finally lost interest - as bag emptied - lol!! But it really was great to just 'have' it and know that doing the same - every so very often - is not going to be the end of my world ;-) Rest up and lounge - the clock is a tool for you. You are not its slave :-) ehugs, Katcha IEing since March 2007 > > Katcha, thanks. I was in the hospital for a liver biopsy for out patient > and then at my daughter's for a day. Guest guest
Katcha, Thanks. I am doing well today although a little tired. Taking naps when I need them. Don't know when I get the results of biopsy. I am enjoying not having the clock in plain view and being a slave to it.
