Guest guest
I have come to find that the 'time(s)' I feel hunger is in relationship to when and what I last ate. If I had a late night snack, I may not feel hunger when I wake up. If I only eat a small bit of carb only type food with my morning coffee I will feel hungry before lunch. But if I eat a 'hearty' breakfast (eggs and potatoes) I won't feel hungry until afternoon. The reason I am aware of these cause and effect links is that I PLAYED with checking this out for myself. I actually wore a little timer and set it for hourly intervals after I ate. This helped me to learn how my body processed different foods. it also helped me to get over thinking in terms of standard meal 'times'. That said, I very much enjoy cooking and sharing dinner with my husband. My awareness of food and times helps me to 'target' my hunger so that I can sit down to dinner ready to eat as well as needing to eat too. Conversely I am also able to eat just enough to tide me over to dinner time so that I don't come to the table OVER hungry either. Hope that helps and makes sense for those who are wondering about this issue. Katcha IEing since March 2007 > > sumami, thanks for reply. Right now hunger is felt maybe only one time a dayfor myself as well but I think that's because I " m on vacation and with others, having to adjust my schedule. I'd love to hear from others about this, I haven't read all the posts yet but will when I come back to the room. Tai >
Guest guest
Hey Sandy, before you take the clock down, why not make a note to place over the face - Are You Hungry? If you do that using clear wrap and contrasting (to clock #s) lettering, you will still be able to see the time but also maybe help yourself remember to remember (lol!). I like that. I still find my self looking at the clock and thinking > it is " time " for supper or lunch rather than " am I hungry " . Guest guest
Thanks Katcha. I need to play around with this too, so I am more likely to be able to eat dinner with my family.
