Guest guest
My son has only been on this protocol for 6 weeks, and I will give it a good try. We have been doing biomed for almost 5 years with many ups and downs. I recently started to look into Stem Cells too. We may go down this road if we don't see any major improvements from the antivirals. I am sure you have read that there are no definites in stem cells either. Just go into it knowing that. Best of luck to you and please keep us posted! -- ---- T Lynn wrote: > Very best wishes to you and your family. I hope you find what your son needs in > Panama. Please keep us posted - good or bad. This journey is filled with so > many question marks and blank lines. I wish there was an answer for all of > us...I hope and pray you find yours. > Take good care, > Tammy > > > > > ________________________________ > > To: mb12 valtrex > Sent: Mon, January 24, 2011 8:41:43 PM > Subject: Calling It quits... > >  > Hello.... Guest guest
sending my best to you and your family. i totally hear you! my son was on nids protocol for 3 yrs. i only saw improvements first 6-10 mos. i did not see improvements after that. lots of meds and lots of talk about how long it takes and our kids are real sick, blah, blah, blah. i wish i would of quit sooner but i fell into sort of a trap with the protocol and stayed with the promise that things would get better. and things DID get better: when i quit the protocol! years later, i have come to the conclusion that my son cannot tolerate meds like most. my mom is the same way: her system is VERY sensitive to meds. been on biomedical for YEARS. tried most everything. never did see the WOWs some see with particular protocols. my ds is almost 14 yrs. still non verbal and very much autistic/very hyper. i have learned to deal with life the way it is. my ds is very happy and well adjusted. i have not stopped helping him. i just dont go at the same top speed i did when he was first diag (2.9 yrs). i will always be there to help and support my son. money is a huge issue for me today which is another reason for the slow-down. anyhow, i know how you feel and hope in your case, things get better. take care, vicki Re: Calling It quits... Guest guest
None of the protocols work for every kid. Although if you belong to the supporting yahoo group for the major protocols you'd think they work for everybody. Some groups chase away those who don't have good results with a specific protocol and dare to write about it. High dose anti-viral and SSRI, low dose antivirals and B12 cream, low-dose high frequency chelation, Lyme, Yasko, Homeopathy, vitamin K, hbot, mhbot, low oxalate, etc. each probably works for some kids. > > > > Hello.... The toll this "recovery" progress takes over you is like being on a never ending roller coaster. There isn't a single day that I haven't cry..sometimes as I am giving her that GFCFSY meal that I know she will hardly eat, when I am giving her that 20th supplement for the day, when the therapies can't get her to stay in the room or when my younger child surpasses her on yet another milestone. I pray each night not only for our daughter but for the millions of kids who are trapped inside their own bodies and the parents who are fighting so hard to get them out. These past 2 years feel like an eternity of suffering for me. I breath, eat, sleep and dream "autism". I can't be at peace until my son is better. I can't wait another 5-11 years in hope while I load my son up in meds. > > I will keep you posted on my trip to panama. I just got done with the application process so I still need to wait for an appointment. Guest guest
Doesn't sound like you're calling it quits, just taking another path. We're lucky we have more than one path to try and I hope the new path you're on takes you good places!! Thanks for offering to share your experiences with stem cell therapy...looking forward to hearing more!! -Crystal

Guest guest
Consider treating for worms. Give charcoal 2 hours after herbal remedy to mop up ammonia and treat for several months. My son is making great progress treating for worms after 3 years of biomed. > > > > Hello.... I've decided to call it quits on the nids protocal. Guest guest
I've been doing some research into bromelain and papaya and from what I've read (many times over), the enzymes in both help to destroy parasites and worms. Both can be bought as supplements. Very inexpensive. To: mb12 valtrex Sent: Tue, January 25, 2011 12:41:47 PMSubject: Re: Re: Calling It quits... What are you using to treat for worms? Guest guest
Please I cannot express to you that I have watched 3 of my friends use stem cells with no or worse results on their kids. I don't know if it could be an answer in the future , but it isn't now Jeff > > > > Hello.... I've decided to call it quits on the nids protocal. My son has been on nids protocal for 6 months now and no changes. He's been on a lot of meds this past 6 months and now dr wants to add more. I know meds do more damage than good. I'm understanding is that most nids patience recover off the protocal after an average 5-11 years later? And still on meds after that? I can't bear to do this whole thing. It's too much burden on my son to go through and I can't stand going through the years and just hoping that he'll recover. > > > > My husband and I need to get him better now.
