Hi. Thanks for all your great suggestions. As far as the activated

charcoal goes, 2 capsules once a day, correct? I should add magnesium to

it? Also, I never really knew how often was ok to give it. Also,

sometimes I do not see the black from the charcoal in her stools until

24-48 hours later. I wasn't sure if this was an indication of anything

or not. I was kind of thinking if it is taking that long to get through

her intestinal tract, maybe this is not such a good thing. She moves her

bowels daily, always has. Constipation has never been an issue.

While we are on the subject, how much weight do you put on the Doctors

Data urine test for yeast?? Is the arabinose level the best indicator as

to how much yeast we are dealing with?? Any thoughts would be

appreciated.

When my dd had high levels of ammonia, her DAN suggested to use

Ketoglutaric acid from Kirkman's .I think it was 2 cap. a day for a

month.

It worked really well for her.

More on Ammonia Please!

I recall Karas ammonia being high when we initially started.

Never really knew too much about it. I have read about the giggling,

night wakenings etc. that stem from yeast and may also stem from

hi ammonia. Kara eats quite a bit of protein, could this cause

elevated ammonia? How should I be treating it? Just looking

for some more information and for those of you with experience

to elaborate. Is it possible I am constantly treating yeast

when I could/should be treating ammonia?

Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks.
