Definitely let us know! I haven't even heard of the 4D being available!

That's awesome!

S :-)

4D Ultra sound...

If anyone is interested, I found an article last week that told the only

4D

ultrasound availble to the public on the east coast is here in North

Carolina, Lincolnton to be exact. (Seems the rest are at " research "

facilities)

I haven't had the nerve to call and price it yet, but I'm planning on

it. I

also want to find out what the perfect point is to have one. (Not too

early,

not too late...)

Just FYI

,

When I made my appt last week, they told me between 25-30 weeks was good, and

that 28 weeks was best. I made my appt for the day before I am 28 weeks.

Hi , You dont sound stupid at all. The 3 and 4 D ultrasounds are so new

that I didnt know what they were until getting pregnant this time around either.

The regular ultrasound (black and white's) that you get at the doctors/OB's

office are either level 1 or 2 ultrasounds. The 3 and 4 D are soooo similar

that I cant even notice a difference in the picture to be honest with you, and

when my OB heard me mention the 4D, he kind of laughed and said he didnt

understand how they could even call it 4D. As far as the 3 and 4D, yes they are

the ones that look kind of brownish or yellowish in color, where you can see the

features SO much better then the regular ones. Anyway, hope I kind of answered

your question, I'm not too into the technical terms of things like some of the

others here, I am sure you will get a much better answer when some of the others

respond. Take care!

RE: 4D Ultra sound...

I don't mean to sound stupid, but,

what is a regular ultrasound called?

Is that also called a 3d ultrasound?

I have found a few places near me (in PA & NJ) that do 3d and 4d

ultrasounds, but unsure of the difference between the two.

Is the 4d ultrasound the new one where they can see the face, and the pics

are brown (instead of black).

Thanks
