I'm sorting through my books and finding so many different varieties of

diet/don't diet, etc. it's crazy... I remember an old term " psychological

crutch " that referred to many things... seems like diet books are just that and

we're all trying to learn to walk again; sometimes we stumble, sometimes we

fall. Thanks for the reminder.

was VERY stressful at work and at home.  I noticed I started eating when I

wasn't even close to hungry.  This feeling of being unable to stop came over me

and it was pure fear.  Did it stop me from eating?  No!  Yesterday I finally

calmed the fear by deciding to get back to my trusty lowcarb diet.  Started

eagerly planning my meals and searching for new recipes.  I even ordered a

cookbook online :)  Old habits die hard, folks!  Thank the Lord I came to my

senses this morning.  This is a journey to health and it's not going to be a

quick trip.  Have a great rest of the weekend!

I really really really do like the idea that I should (I don't always) eat when I'm hungry and stop when I'm full. (I don't always do that either, but I'm trying not to angst over my failure to apply this.) I agree that one says one thing and another says another thing, so the only thing that adds up right now to me is: eat using whatever common sense (knowledge) that I have -- such as chicken fat may cause my arteries to clog and too much sugar at one time may cause my blood and organs to overload (examples) -- and eat when hungry and stop when full. I really am having a struggle with stopping. Gotta work on that. TaiTo: IntuitiveEating_Support Sent: Sunday, August 14, 2011 2:33 PMSubject: Re: Had a few binge issues this weekend
