I almost did some " prophylactic eating. " I love that term. I learned it

yesterday on this loop! I am choosing not to eat the unhealthy lunch that is

being served at my office today. I have my lunch with me. I almost ate it before

the other food arrived - " so that I wouldn't be hungry " when everyone else was

grabbing the food that is offered. Wow. It's so sneaky. I have so much to

UN-learn. I am not truly hungry right now. I will enjoy my meal so much better

when I am truly hungry, and my body will process it so much more peacefully.

Gotta run. Hope everyone is doing well!

Sunny, Good for you.  You are learning like the rest of us on this journey and not beating yourself up.  Happy belated birthday! Sandy

 

Good for you !  I went out to Red Robin today for my " birthday " lunch.  My birthday was in the beginning of Aug but this friend hadn't been able to get together until today.  I must say I was quite hungry when we went but I think I ate a little faster than I should have and didn't feel my not hungry signal right away. I just wasn't finely tuned to my signals.  I feel a bit full now and you know I don't like that.  I did leave 1/3 of the burger but I still feel like I ate about 1/4 burger too much.  But it tasted good all the way.  :)  Maybe now I won't get hungry again at 2:30 like I usually do on work days.  It will be interesting to see how it works out and learn a little more about my body's needs.
