Guest guest
There is light at the end of the doctor visits tunnel. Often once you get on a system (meds or otherwise) that works for you the doctor visits reduce. In the beginning they need to monitor for potential side effects and this lessens as time goes on, assuming you don't have serious side effects. So don't dispair, eventually you'll have time away from the doctors office. He is going to have a look at my bloodwork results and come up with my mix of meds. He now has me on 5 mg prednisone in the am. Also trazadone (?) to help me sleep 50 mg. Just sitting around waiting for Friday when I call the rheumy for what he wants me to take. Anybody else get anxious waiting for bloodwork results? Seems like all I am doing anymore is going to one drs appt after another. I think this "Golden Age" business is not what it's cracked up to be. But as my dad used to say..."It beats the alternative." Hugs to all...a In Ohio, where we will be getting a rain/snow mix towards the weekend. Oh Joy....just when I thought spring was finally here. My joints were telling me about the weather change before the meteorologists knew. __________________________________________________
Guest guest
i am so saory tel alexa that i hope that she feelsbetter !!!  Shea Reasoner ________________________________ From: Billie-jo Jary <Beamjary@...> *JRA List < > Sent: Sun, April 18, 2010 8:15:29 PM Subject: Rheumy Appt...  a had her rheumy appt on Thursday. Her ped rheumy is still not convinced that we are dealing with JIA, or at least that it's the only thing we are dealing with. She referred us to a elecrophysiologist for a consult and tilt table test. We are now considering Fibromyalgia, Vasodepressor Sincope, or Disautonomia. .. as opposed to or inconjunction with JIA. She said sometimes she sees a and thinks this is absolutely JIA, other times she has symptoms that are not typical or that she has not seen at all with JIA. Thankfully unlike every other specialist we have seen and her primary doctor her ped rheumy said we will just keep looking and trying. Every other specialist says they don't know what it is and it's not their area so they don't need to see her back. Today a woke up very pale with dark circles... so it looks like her monthly flare is starting again... the problem is that they are lasting longer and longer each time. It is so frustrating. Two and half years and still no answers! Her Rheumy did tell us that there is a new ped rheumy coming to our children's hospital and that as soon as she is seeing pts she will refer us there for a second opinion. Have any of you or your kids been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, Vasodepressor Sincope or Disautonomia? Billie-jo and a
Guest guest
I was greatfull after 2 years of flares and hospitalization that I have someone listening to her about anything! I am not sure what our Ped Rhuemy is convinced of. Remember her blood work always comes back fine. So, I would be open minded and see what they say. ________________________________ From: Billie-jo Jary <Beamjary@...> *JRA List < > Sent: Sun, April 18, 2010 8:15:29 PM Subject: Rheumy Appt...  a had her rheumy appt on Thursday.
