I think they are all about the same. Home programs aren't as intense as clinic programs but we found great success with home programs. My sil uses TLP on her students and I've used therapeutic listening and samonas with my son.Loved it.

My son is nine and has become really sensitive to sound over the past year. We do all the biomed supps have increased his magnesium but he spends alot of time with his hands covering his ears. We were with his cousins today and they were all having a great time playing Wii. Luke was not playing but doing a puzzle in the same room. They kids were having a great time (maybe a little loud) and everyone seemed to be having fun. He went to the front door and wanted to leave. I have never tried Listening Therapy or AIT and was curious if someone knew if one over the other is better for sound sensitivity.

Thanks for your help,

beth

According to Dorinne the different programs do different things. I had

already done tomatis with a couple of boosts when she recommended AIT then 2

more boosts of tomatis. I think like everything else we do, each protocol

probably works for about 1/3 of the kids.

Sound sensitivities are completely gone when we have our son's yeast and

bacteria protocol high enough. Consider increasing until it's gone. We use

GSE, OoO and OLE with biotin.

We went from him punching us or climbing our bodies to get away from public

toilets flushing and motorcycles on the street, to no reaction other than to

say, " Oh, there's a motorcycle " . Carnivals used to be torture for him! When we

slip up on his anti-microbials, his sound sensitivities come back. We've never

needed therapy for any of his SPD symptoms, the right yeast/bacteria protocol

does the trick for it all.

Good luck!

Same here, but for my son, mepron fixed sound sensitivity. It is also a symptom

for protozoa or worms.

Mepron, an antiprotozoal stopped this for my son. He was treated by a LLMD for

babesia, but there are many other protozoa. You can try an herbal remedy of

ia 100 from Barlow Herbs. It is a good source of artemsiae which kills

babesia. I have used this one personally with no ill effects, just a little

giggling from high ammonia during die off.

Hi Beth-

Just wanted to let you know about a recent experience with this.

I treat my son with autism biomedically but have learned a lot about my own

health over the last 3 years.

Anyway, I now know that I have candida/yeast issues and gut problems, etc.

Recently I was getting this really bad sensitivity in my ears. My son is pretty

loud all the time and sometimes screeches, and any loud noise would make me

cover me ears. It felt like a strong reverberation and was

uncomfortable/painful. It was like this for 2 weeks before I decided to try

something.

I put Ear Drops into my ears- like Wallys Ear Oil( garlic, olive oil, mullen) a

couple of times for 2 days. I couldnt believe it, but the

ringing/vibration/pain went away. Im convinced that this was yeast in the

ears.. maybe bacterial. Either way, garlic is good for both.

I know some people who treat ear infections with these drops, and I am

definitely a believer now!

I think it could be yeast/bacteria... and I got these ear drops at Whole Foods

but they have them at natural food stores too.

Good Luck!

My son gets itchy in the ears and he swats them when he has high yeast. I use

hydrogen peroxide drops for him which helps the situation.
