Guest guest
Anti Neuronal antibodies related to strep attacking the basal ganglia causing OCD, movement disorders, tantrums, tics, excessive urination, irrational fears, hyperactivity, sleep disturbances, loss of math skills, poor handwriting and more. My son is doing well on long term augmentin. Have you read the book, " Saving Sammy? " There is a yahoo group where we discuss treatments and doctors. Also the pandasnetwork.org is a good resource. Guest guest
This is how you know: Anti Neuronal antibodies related to strep attacking the basal gangliaYou can test for PANDAS. And honestly, it *seems* like it might describe every kid with autism but it actually doesn't. My son never had OCD, tics, movement disorders, or irrational fears (nothing beyond typical for his age). And the only time he's ever lost skills is when he got vaccinated. My son is not a PANDAS kid, if you couldn't tell.
