Hello, I was diagnosed with scleroderma in 1996 but refused to take

conventional medicines so i tried herbs and accuppuncture until i learned

about ap in 1999. Since then i have learned a great deal form this group, so

i would first like to thank everyone that has helped me while being a silent

learner of this group.

Athough i have never posted before, i have a very important question that i

would like the groups opinion on. I have been seeing dr. mercola and taking

antiboitcs for sclereoderma ( minocin 3x a week and iv cleocin 1x week). I

have seen improvements but i know that i am not all the way in remission. i

still have some hardness in my fingers and have some lung involvement. I

know it takes time and i expect to continue to improve ,but because i am now

38 i am thinking of getting pregnant and would like to know if anyone in the

group has had scleroderma and gotten pregnant. Dr. mercola thinks that i can

but that i should continue with some medication. Although he thinks it is

safe to use the antibotics while pregnant, i wonder what will happen if i

stop all medications for about a year? If i really have to use some

antibotics, which would be considered the safest for a developing fetus? If i

get worse after i have the baby, will the same medications work then? I would

like to know all the risks involved because if they are too dangerous for the

baby or me ,then i wont get pregnant since i need to be healthy for the

children i already have. Part of me really wants one more child and i have

waited to get fully recovered before i do but i feel that i dont have the

time to wait anymore. I welcome the advice of this group. Again, thank all of

yous out there that have kept this wonderful site possible for those of us

who need it.

Annie
