Guest guest
Ok, aparantly it's not as pricey as it was at the time I got it lol. I's actually pretty cheap, I just took a peek. There's a " new drawing on the right side of the brain " . I don't have that... I wonder how different it is? Mia > Yes, Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain is a fab book! Guest guest
Well he gave excellent advice, Doug. My husband, a novelist who churns out three and sometimes four books a year to publisher deadlines, was appalled by the ludicrous advice some woman wrote to wannabe fiction writers in Writer's Digest magazine many years ago. She said you should write the first one hundred pages of your novel, throw it out and start over, writing it again. My husband was horrified. Hell, he said, nobody would ever finish a book! He was so disgusted he cancelled his subscription and neither one of has has ever picked up the magazine since. Heinlein's one and two are along the lines of what hubby tells people when they ask him how to be novelists: 1: Apply ass to seat of chair. 2. Keep it there and write. :-) Em Sent from my blueberry. > A KO writer s workshop? LOL > > I have one project on the burner, 2 more in the idea and mapping stage. > > I recently read a talk by Heinlein given at the Naval Academy. > In it, he lists 5 rules for becoming a successful writer. > > 1. Write > 2. Finish what you start. > 3. Resist the urge to re write, except on editorial order. > 4. Submit what you write to publishers. > 5. Repeat 4 until someone buys it. Eventually, someone will. > > Doug

Guest guest
Thanks . Yeah, I've been to that website, it was VERY helpful!!! Thanks very much for the kind compliment. As for writing... unless it's term papers or things for presentations, I have a tough time. I'm just not as eloquent or profound as I'd like to be LOL.
