Guest guest
Welcome Tina! I'm Michele, SAHM of the 3 listed below, my little one is 2 weeks older than your Blake :-) I am tandem nursing my two youngest. About the bra at night, if wearing one bothers you, have you tried placing cloth diapers or receiving blankets, towels etc. under you at night? Couldn't hurt to try. I did this when dd was a baby because after 4 months I got tired of wearing a bra to bed. I stopped wearing a bra this time when Rowan was a month old but I'm not leaking at night. Michele Hi everyone. I wold like to introduce myself. My name is Tina. I am 24and a new SAHM to a wonderful little boy. His name is Blake and hewas born on April 2. I am breastfeeding him and it is going really well.He is a champion nurser. I look forward to all of the support you guys cangive me.I do actually have a weird question. Before Blake was born I never slept ina bra. Now, of course, I have to and I sweat in it really bad at night. Iwake up drenched in sweat, but just under my bra. I have to wear it b/c mybreasts do tend to leak at night. I even have a heat rash across my breastsfrom this. Does anyone have any suggestions?Tina and Blake

Guest guest
Thanks , I have thought about something like that. I have an extra waterproof pad for Blake's crib that I thought about putting under the sheet on my side. I'd just have to not wear a shirt to bed. IT might be a little strange at first, but better than this. Tina Re: New Here Welcome Tina! Guest guest
A waterproof pad is just going to make you sweat more - like wearing a garbage bag. you want something absorbent under you, not plastic or rubber. Guest guest
I pumped/and worked andBF my second son, (I have 4. Tyler is 9, Cody is 7, Dylan is almost 3, and Mikayla is 3 1/2 months. I would pump on my breaks, and then go to my son's daycare and nurse him on my lunch hour, and murse him when not working. I only did this a couple months. Then I quit working, and quit breastfeeding,I only nursed him for 5 months, he had alot of ear infectins from his EBM bottles being propped and daycare, and the cooling system they had there.(long story)I nursed my first son for only 2 weeks, and my third for 16 months, I am currently nursing my 3 1/2 month old:- )Beckie > >Reply-To: breastfeedingegroups >To: breastfeedingegroups >Subject: New here >Date: Thu, 1 Jun 2000 13:02:54 -0400 > >Hi, > >I just joined this group and wanted to introduce myself and see if I will >fit in here. Guest guest
Hi Suzanne, I think you will fit in great here, as there is a large " mix " of us. I am the SAHM of Andruw 3, and Savannah, 3 weeks. I plan on starting my own business near the end of summer, and Savannah will be getting EBM at that time. She does get an occasional bottle of EBM now, just to get her accustomed to it. There are lots of nice people on this loop and I am sure that you will get lots of support. Guest guest
Hi Suzanne Welcome to the group. I too work full time so I mostly lurk unless I see something I want to respond to. I am currently nursing my 21 month old girl. She has never had any formula. My 3 year old still asks to nurse occasionally. He too only had breastmilk and nursed until about a week before his sister was born and then resumed about a month after she was born. I also have an 8yo who was partially breastfed and a 11 year old who was formula fed. I have worked full time with all of them. Glad to have you here and look forward to seeing you on the list a Suzanne Bradshaw wrote: > Hi, > > I just joined this group and wanted to introduce myself and see if I will > fit in here. I seem to know only SAH bf moms or working formula feeding moms. I feel rather alone in this world of working and bfing. I hope to be able to share with all on this group.
