This is from the Humira site.... I would suggest you contact http://humira.com/

and ask them directly with questions about getting pregnant...

Tell your doctor about all medicines you are taking or considering. The combination of HUMIRA and Kineret (anakinra) is not recommended. Check with your doctor before you receive any vaccines. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant, become pregnant or plan to become pregnant. The most common side effects of HUMIRA are injection site reactions, upper respiratory and sinus infections, headache, rash and injection site pain.

I know I need to research this more but I'd like to get a personal perspective: My new Rheumatologist told me I need to be off Humira when I am trying to have a baby, my old Rheumatologist told me I can be on it until I actually conceive. Now I don't know what to think! I see how quickly my RA comes back after just one missed dose. I can't imagine being off it for the months it would take me to conceive! If anyone has been on the TNF blockers and trying to have a child or if anyone knows about this, I would like to hear from them! Thanks!Eliz

:

I know that for many women, their disease goes into remission during

pregnancy. You don't mention whether or not you are on methotrexate.

That is a definite no-no for trying to conceive. In fact, you may have

to be off for a couple of months before you try to conceive. Check with

your doctor.
