Just wondering...

have any of you ever gone on the biologics, then been

told you're in remission, and used another med

instead? Sort of like going backward...like taking

MTX and Plaquinal or something?

I'm getting scared of my enbrel, and am wondering IF

my RA is behaving itself, if that might be something I

could do successfully.

Thanks again for all your info:)

I would worry about dropping back completely. From my reading

methotrexate only controls symptoms and does not seem to claim to halt

joint damage. In fact I can tell you it doesn't because I was

practically written off by my rheumy as under control with MTX and

Voltaren until he took some hand and foot X-Rays and saw new joint

damage.

Hi Rie,

I just had to stop my Humira due to fever, I missed only one dose and I started

having symptoms again. I have only been on TNF blockers for my RA though

so I didn't substitute. What in particular scares you? I remember an article

that Jacy had posted that said 95% of RA patients need to continue their

medication in order to stay in remission.
