Guest guest
Wow, nice work. It's amazing how one even eating while distracted can be " ok " , once the basics of IE have been internalized. Sometimes I eat while " distracted " sometimes not - either way, my eating is working out much better for me when I don't have to be perfectly in control of every bite. Imagine putting part of a B & R dessert in the freezer because you didn't want it all! > > Tonight my husband and I took an energetic 1 1/2 hour tandem bike ride and then only had enough time for fast food before we had to pick our kids up. We ended up at A & W and I thought it would be lousy, but was amazed at how GOOD everything tasted, just because we were so hungry. > " Yum! " every bite! Even so, we split one combo meal and then split a sundae at Baskin Robbins and both filled up before we were half finished with dessert, so we put the rest in our freezer. No tummy ache! > > Given that this was an EXTREMELY stressful day, most of it spent dealing with a frightening medical emergency, with breakfast a cookie a friend handed me in the ER at noon and lunch didn't come until mid-afternoon when I was buzzing with stress & I was completely unable to make myself stop reading while I was eating but still didn't overeat, I feel like this turned out to be a successful eating day, as in I did the best I could to honor my body given the circumstances, none of which were ideal all day long. >
