Guest guest
Welcome Bibbity! There is another thread or two going around right now asking the same things about having success with IE. Yes!! People can and do find success but you have to work at it. It's harder than most diets because there are no first and fast rules and no measurements. You're on the honor system here. You honor your hunger, and your body and your fullness...and everything else falls into place, or off the places it has help fast to for soo long!! Sunny New Hi everyone im new here! Guest guest
Good to have you here! I'm kind of new myself, I just started intuitive eating a month ago. The first couple weeks were really difficult, so I understand what you're going through. It takes a lot of courage to start intuitive eating, because we have to let go of what we know. But I think the leap is worth it! > > Hi everyone im new here! I dont have any experience with yahoo groups so im trying to navigate around. Guest guest
Hi, Bibbity. Take your time, it has been my experience that it comes and goes with groups, but this group is a terrific group of people! IE way of life seems to be different from Diet Survivors, although it's good to know that you don't have to "diet" any more. It's good to listen to your body signals, since we have damaged our bodies due to not listening to body signals, you may find you gain weight at first. This should not be your main concern, although know it does give me anxiety from time to time, but as I progress with IE, it becomes a more comfortable way of life than dieting, in my opinion. Guest guest
Happy to have you back Carol. Weight loss isn't taboo here, its just a recommended focus? Members have happily lost weight with IE, myself included. But if that is the ONLY reason for doing IE, often what happens is diet mentality turns IE into a pseudo diet and all the dreaded unhappy eating habits seem to occur rather than being able to return to honoring one's body as the source for directions regarding biological eating. I'm supposing that your 40# loss was with IE? Hope you will share how that went for you. BEST to you, Katcha IEing since March 2007 > > Actually I'm not new but have not been here for about 4 years. When I left, it seemed like the site was not interested in losing weight with IE. I lost 40lb but could stand to lose another 30. >

Guest guest
(Dang Yahoo and no EDIT function) Oops! time, what I meant to say was - Weight loss isn't taboo here, its just NOT a recommended focus? Sorry for the boo-boo. I'm a bit worn out and not thinking too straight at this moment. Katcha IEing since March 2007 > > > > Actually I'm not new but have not been here for about 4 years.
