I did feel a bit confused by your email since you didn't know me but that is fine. Thank you for your support. I appreciate that. Whatever it was, must have been days ago because I'm totally lost as to what you are referring to. It would be nice if you leave enough of the original post for me to know what you're referring to. Guest guest
I am new. I received a diagnosis of Fibromyalgia 2 weeks ago. I also mostly likely have Inflammatory arthritis (awaiting MRIs). I have always had some fatigue and minor pain. Then in Jan. I walked out of a bathroom at a club and walked through a cloud of gas from a fire extinguisher. I could not see in the dark and thought it was from a fog machine until my mouth was burning. I could hardly breath and quickly became fatigued. I had chest pain and trouble breathing for 6 weeks with a lot of fatigue. Then I started to feel better. I started to get hand pain soon after. Then it became inflammed. In my search to find what was wrong I got the Fibro diagnosis. So I believe the gas fumes set this all in motion. Guest guest
Hi Jen, I am quite new to the group as well, but welcome. I have had inflammatory arthritis since 1990, I was also diagnosed with FM in 1995. Have you actually been diagnosed with FM by your Rheumi? they usually do a trigger point test. FM can be bought on by a trauma, which you certainly have had. I hope you get some answers soon. Be thinking of you. Sue [ ] Re: Hi all... I am new. Guest guest
Yes I have been diagnosed with FM. The trigger point test is what gave me the diagnosis. I never knew I had pain there.
