Guest guest
We did not have any problems with our sons, but his first casts were below the knee. We just tried to keep the plaster out of the diaper. I would imagine that this would be more difficult with the toe to groin casts, but could be overcome! Best of luck and Caleb 3-31-
Guest guest
our son Kelby had his circ. on afriday and got his first casts (to the groin) on the next wednesday. we didn't have any problems ~ just make sure you have lots of padding at the top of the casts and keep him as dry as possible. LOAD up on the polysporin/neosporin or whatever ointment your doctor said to use! this will help to keep him from sticking (OUCH!) to his diaper. good luck! Guest guest
I know I'm a bit late in answering this but I just wanted to you to note that when Noam was circumcised (with the casts on already), we were told that the bandages would fall off on their own after a few days. When they hadn't, I phoned the guy that had performed the circumcision he said that they should have come off in the bath. I then pointed out that Noam couldn't have a normal bath and was bathed properly once a week (we took the cass off the night before the next visit and bathed him properly). So take note and remind the circumcisor!!! & Noam (Aug 3rd 2001 bl. clubfoot) > Have any of you circumcised you baby boys at birth? Is it OK with the casts > all the way to the groin? > > > Dessi > > > > > >
