Kaye,

I'm glad that there was a good happy thought there. See, you are capable

of them even in the midst of your troubles. You won't bring us down.

Enjoy those thoughts of hugging all them grandbabies.

Hi Everyone,My name is ; I am new to Intuitive Eating. The past week or so I have been reading through your comments. Thank you for sharing your thoughts...it is helpful to have a support group online, although I am thinking I would benefti greatly from a g roup that meets in person. I read the book many years ago, along with books by Geneen Roth but always found myself slipping back into the dieting mode. Why, I am not sure. In just a day or two following the IE suggestions I find considerable peace and pleasure in eating. I do have difficulty with sweets...and I do agree with one of the gals on this site that during some seasons it may be appropriate to hide away those foods that cause chaos. I don't think you should cut out all

carbs or all sweets, but there may be a couple of foods that triggers chaotic eating and if a problelm arises everytime you eat it, that too may indicate or be a signal that for some reason physiologically or psychologically you cannot manage that food and do need to avoid. Isn't that listening to your body? I am wishing all of you a lovely and super IE day!

Hi, , nice to have you join us. It is a journey. You probably are thinking 'diet' because it is a very popular concept. I find it hard to listen to my body, but I'm working on it. A news report recently said that eating in restaurants causes many to be overweight. I mean, if it were so easy for most of us to control things, we'd do it, right? TaiTo: "IntuitiveEating_Support "
