Last night while sorting through more of nada's papers I found a letter from the

Mayo Clinic telling her that they reviewed her records and agreed with her

doctors that her cancer was inoperable and there was nothing left they could

try. It just broke my heart to imagine getting that letter in the mail. And why

the hell did she feel the need to keep it? I would like to think that if I were

faced with nada's diagnosis- terminal cancer- that I would accept it (not that

that is easy, but she never accepted it, even on her deathbed) and try to make

the most of the time I had left. She laid down and died the minute she heard the

word cancer, even before she knew it was terminal. I am scared though, that I am

more like her then I would like to admit. My fleas are numerous.
