Guest guest
Hi-- I've really enjoyed reading everyone's posts, and was wondering what folks have to say about eating at work. I'm a public school teacher who has just gone back to work after a summer off, and I've found this week that I'm not hungry before I go to school in the morning. If it were still vacation, I'd wait until I was hungry to eat breakfast, but if I don't eat before I go, then I have a grueling four hours until our 25 minute lunch period. I do have five minutes between classes, but that's not enough time to sit down and relax and savor my food. So what do I do? In the past, I've tried to eat a big breakfast to hold me through, snarfed " snacks " between class periods, tried to have a decent lunch, and then been ravenously hungry after school, eating what could essentially be called dinner, then sampled while making dinner with my family and then eaten another full dinner that I wasn't the slightest bit hungry for. I've been doing very well (and feeling great) eating when I'm hungry and stopping when I'm no longer hungry when my time has been my own, but now that I'm back in school, I'm having a hard time finding the balance again. Any suggestions? Theresa
