Guest guest
Hi Nina...that is fine. Don't worry. I did feel a bit confused by your email since you didn't know me but that is fine. Thank you for your support. I appreciate that. I am in a non-profit group that gives support to people going thru cancer treatment and have done this since it's beginning. I figured that since I cannot work because of my r/a, that I would give to people in another way. I am on the staff and I can do my job from home at my speed. To those worrying about their home and how clean it is...don't worry a bit about it. My home is not as clean as I would like either but I do what I can and that is all. No excuses...I have r/a and need to conserve my strength. If people don't understand, that is their problem. We just do the best that we can. Also, concerning MTX... I was on Mtx also and was taken off because my liver enzymes elevated to about 3 fold. They are within normal range now but I always worry when I go back for bloodwork. I have had hep tests done and an ultrasound also. I had been taking 3 pills every Monday along with my darvocet and that is a big bad combo I've been told. So no more darvo either. I found that that was the only med that helped me, the darvocet..with pain. Oh well. I am not taking Humira either because of mouth sores and infection. I do have some prednisone here that dr gave me to take in place of Humira.....for now until I see him this month. 5 mg once a day. That seems to help although I have heard some bad things about it. Also, r/a factor. Mine was 492 when I was going in for my disability hearings. Funny thing is that when I went in to get bloodwork and med evaluation done for the judge to see...they had everything marked off the bloodwork script to test for EXCEPT my rheum factor. Well, how are they going to know how bad my r/a is??? So, I checked it and they tested for that. It was 492 and the judge who didn't even seen me in the past just read my drs reports was going to reject me again because of who knows what (I did have a lawyer). He took one look at my bloodwork and said he was going to reject me again but because my r/a factor was so high, he approved me for disability. R/A factor should be 15 or less and mine was sky high. So,if you are going for disability..make sure that they are going to check for you r/a factor too. It got me approved. The judge didn't look at my feet, hands anything. Maybe judges should spend a day with you....lol Anyway, hope you're all doing well. Have a great weekend.... a Ohio
