I just went and did some research. The FDA strikes again. 85 percent of the

injectable methotrexate was produced at a plant in Switzerland. Everything was

fine until an American company bought the Swiss plant. As soon as it was

American owned, the FDA shut it down because it lacked some of the modern

technology required by American owned facilities. The drug was the same drug

that was being produced and imported the week before, but because it was now

American owned, it wasn't " good " enough to import into the US. As a result,

there are kids out there that can't get their cancer drugs. (MTX is the

preferred drug for treating children with leukemia and Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma).

It could be July before the plant opens again. It is life-threatening for some

of the kids.
