A strep test will not show PANDAS which is an autoimmune reaction to strep. You can run ASO and DNASE titers to see if these are high but in 50% of kids w/ PANDAS they are not high. You need to learn the symptoms of PANDAS and see if your child has some of those symptoms. www.pandasnetwork.org

VSL #3 has strep strains in it which can cause our kids to have PANDAS flare ups. WE like Custom Probiotics which does NOT have any strep strains

Flagyl will not address the strep. THe 2 most popular choices for PANDAS is azithromycin or augmentin. Azithro is easier on the gut and only needs to be dosed once per day. You'll need a daily dose for awhile and then maintain a weekly or 2 times per week dose. My son is soooo severly effected he is on a 2 to 3 times per day dose of azithro and his symptoms are very slowly fading. We are also looking into IVIG.

We had done these tests - although a while ago. I don't think he had a problem at that time - I'll go back and check again today. Thanks for your inputs. I went to that site and from very initial reading he seems to be showing those signs. He had one incident of motor tics for the first time in his life. He's been having anxiety issues that are OCD like - need for constant attention.I have an appointment with my DAN today. And I'll ask him if he recommends an anti-biotic? I think he anyways needs Flagyl for his clotridia. Whether that'll address the strep or not I don't know.> > > > > > From: Arpita <ghosharpita@>> > Subject: Routine-oriented> > To: mb12 valtrex > > Date: Monday, February 14, 2011, 6:20 PM> > > > > >  > > > > > > >

Viruses, bacteria, yeast, parasites and heavy metals are all bound together by biofilm. As you treat one piece it may flare up others. You may have to treat more than one thing at once. You can run stool tests to see what's coming out. You can also try using modified citrus pectin which helps eliminate things from the body. Oral disodium EDTA also dirupts the biofilm binding these things together.

Any recommendations on this? Is the bacteria showing up because the viruses have been addressed by anti-viral?> > > > > > From: Arpita <ghosharpita@>> > Subject: Routine-oriented> > To: mb12 valtrex > > Date: Monday, February 14, 2011, 6:20 PM> > > > > > Â > > > > > > > > Very open question - > > > > DS has lately become extremely rountine-oriented.
