I've heard all about the "safe companies". I respect anyone who chooses to and I know many people have seen great benefits from it, but something in my gut just tells me not to do it. We're working in efa's through oils, as well. But these things take time. My little guy is super sensory - especially with food. We'll get there.... (He's 5. 63 lbs) He still wont touch the veggies and still gags when he smells certain ones cooking. But over the past few days, he has been trying new things with success. He drinks almond milk now (wouldn't touch it in the past) and has been eating hummus as a chip dip. He tried broccoli and ran to the bathroom to hurl (lol). A couple days later he tried avocado, he didn't like it, but he did manage to spit it out without hurling. Baby steps here. lol. My new approach is to let them each pick out one new piece of produce each week to "investigate". We try it raw, juiced, cooked...and whatever else comes to mind. I think it feels good to them to choose and feel part of the whole process. They have been awesome about the dietary changes. Let's see how long it takes for them to turn on me....lol. I think going slowly (IMHO) is best so that you can observe better and make small changes. Because at the time, Jimmy could not communicate what was going on. So I had to rely on my observations. Guest guest
I can't remember word for word exactly but I believe I asked if the E was derived from soy...can't find it in my trash bin. sry To: mb12 valtrex Sent: Sat, February 19, 2011 7:51:01 PMSubject: Re: Re: Two days of Urine accidents after 6 weeks on diflucan tammy how did you confirm that?? did you ask what the vit E was derived from??? did you ask if it was soy free or soy derivitive free?? here is the blue diamond brands Original Ingredients: purified water, almonds, tapioca starch, calcium carbonate, sea salt, potassium citrate, carrageenan, soy lecithin, vitamin A palmitate, vitamin D2, d-alpha-tocopherol (natural vitamin E). (this is also soy based Vanilla Ingredients: purified water, almonds, tapioca starch, natural vanilla flavor with other natural flavors (what are those?), calcium carbonate, sea salt, potassium citrate, carrageenan, soy lecithin, vitamin A palmitate, vitamin D2, d-alpha-tocopherol (natural vitamin E). (again soy based) Chocolate Ingredients: purified water, almonds, cocoa (Dutch process), tapioca starch, calcium carbonate, sea salt, potassium citrate, carrageenan, natural flavors, soy lecithin, vitamin A palmitate, vitamin D2, d-alpha-tocopherol (natural vitamin E). AGAIN SOY BASED sadly if the company told you that, they lied throuh their teeth, it's clearly on ALL there labels that there is soy in more then one form in it From: T Lynn Sent: Saturday, February 19, 2011 7:28 PM To: mb12 valtrex Subject: Re: Re: Two days of Urine accidents after 6 weeks on diflucan I was wrong the other night. Blue diamond contains no soy. I believe they may have used to and that's why I believed it to be true. I also inquired with Silk who told me no, no soy. But I don't care for that brand. Have yet to try the hemp. It's on the list...I'm trying damn hard to expand the repetoire, here. Tonight I'm on my first attempt at making fresh coconut yogurt. Yes, there is soy. and we do avoid soy to an extent....but we're picking our demons, ya know? They need their fatty acids and to be honest, (not that I like either choice ) but I'm more afraid of mercury in fish than I am of soy. So I won't give fish oil. (We ended up taking him out of preschool - to which now he doesn't have any accidents) -- Stress I think was a major cause. (I don't think he liked his teachers and I don't think they really liked him either - and interestingly enough when he had a substitute, he didn't have an accident) When I started/upped his supplements with magnesium, calcium and zinc -- those accidents went away. (this was after I took him out of preschool.) From what I understand of these three minerals -- they help 'calm' the nervous system. These kids tend to 'burn' these particular ones up. I also found that he no longer had night time accidents. I tend to wonder if these particular minerals that help calm the nervous system also assist in helping the right message get to the brain -- that "hey, need the bathroom, have to pee." -- as when I forget his supplements or he just refused them, he tends to have night time accidents. When he gets dehydrated, (flushed constantly) -- I also tend to make sure he gets potassium/sodium (in an apple/fennel (lo ox drink) or apple/carrot/celery juicer drink or coconut water (high in potassium) and celery juice.) I know that stress can burn these minerals up quickly...When I get the diet right, his supplements right, and he has enough water, sunlight, and exercise...his world is wonderful. I hope this helps. Google it. There is some pretty good info out there. laura>> Does anyone know why a child might begin to have accidents after 6 weeks in diflucan?
