You need to have your sons mineral levels checked before supplementing. Yes, zinc does chelate copper but many of our kids are high copper/low zinc kids. High copper is bad so you do not want to add more unless it's low and needed. Liquid minerals are absorbed easier than powder form. We like Angtrom super strength liquid minerals which have no taste.

Have yo looked into the biofilm protocol by Dr Usman. The viruses, bacteria, metals and yeast are bound together and proteted by a biofilm which is made of calcium, magnesium and iron. It's just something to look into so you can figure out what to do. If you're using valtrex to get at the viruses you may be blocking the valtrex getting to the virus.

One of my son's current sups is zinc citrate. We initially started giving him zinc because he was mouthing/chewing everything. Well, he still does it. I'm wondering if I should try zinc picolinate, instead. I looked up the difference between the two, and apparently the picolinate form is absorbed across the intestine better. It was also suggested that both copper and magnesium should be taken if zinc is taken, because it can deplete both of them. My son currently takes neither of those.Anyone have thoughts on this? Is picolinate better? Should my son be taking copper and mag? Also, what dosage? Right now he's taking 30 mg/day of zinc citrate. He's currently 35 lbs, and will be 5 in 10 days. Thanks so much!
