Hi!

I'm a mom of 4, my youngest is almost 4 yrs. and is non-verbal with autism. He

has been on the SCD diet since October and He is finally having solid stools.

I'm totally stressing about the diet right now--- we are staying in the park at

the Port Orleans , Riverside. We have a fridge and access to a microwave. Need

to keep him low oxolate too. Any suggestions, tips, etc.....Help!!!!! Should I

just prepare food and take it with us?

thanks,

Margaret

Hi!

We stayed at Port Orleans, Riverside last November. My son is GFCF. We were on the dining plan. We were able to keep my son on the diet while we were there. I brought food substitutes with us and we rented a car in case we needed to go to the store. The cafeteria staff were helpful. We let them know that was on the diet and the chef on duty gave us food options. If you make a reservation at a sit down restaurant let them know about the diet when you make your reservation. Also let them know when you arrive at the restaurant. Everyone was helpful. Have a great time. Do you know about the red card?
